Featuring an upgraded multifunction LCD which shows in-game data in real time, a progressive throttle with tension adjustment, plus an adjustable joystick with a self-centering mechanism. System is a fully integrated hands on stick and throttle flight controller that meets or exceeds the demands of the best flight simulator pilots. I eventually removed this as it is not suitable for every weapon loadout but I just wanted to give an example of what you can do.Saitek's X52 Pro Flight H.O.T.A.S. I used to have it set up so that I could fire the primary weapon by pushing the trigger halfway and fully shoots both groups at the same time, but I had to program a macro to make it "press" over and over as when I first tried it it would only fire once when depressed and I would have to mash the trigger to re-fire. You should also have a look at the programming function, it is easy to understand. I recommend setting it up the way you want it as it will be you that uses it! I use my pinky switch as a modifier/look button, holding it will go to UI focus and pushing a direction at the same time will focus to that panel, but I also use the pinky switch for functions I don't have a free button for or that I don't want to hit by mistake (boost, cargo, gear etc) if you do this you will have no problem mapping everything to the HOTAS. Any suggestions?Įdit: Should also mention I just switch back to mouse for the galaxy map, until it's properly fixed I just find that the easiest way.

I did have cycle fire groups and secondary fre switched, but yaw control while firing is more difficult that way. Boost feels right, although looking at it now, I'm considering swapping the throttle slider to be forward/reverse and the button next to it to be boost, since I've gotten improved power systems and can boost more frequently, plus it can be easy to forget to slide it back in a battle. A few of them are there for the cool factor, I mean deploy hardpoints HAS to be under the safety flap (firing doesn't deploy them), and turning the dial to activate hyperdrive just feels right, if you set forward and backward to be to engage it, then you disengage by turning it back, the only inconsistency arises with multiple jumps in a row. I'm still tweaking and changing things, and I'm unsure with the pinky trigger yet, since it seems some buttons are given alternate functions and some aren't, so I got annoyed when it kept changing my setup.
